After that Kangana went to Mumbai, where she did acting courses from Asha Chandraj drama school for 4 months. Kangana Ranaut had come to Mumbai with the dream of becoming an actress. In 2004, producer Ramesh Sharma and actor Pehlaj Nilani announced that they will make a film with Kangana, . Which was the Kangana's debut film. But during this time, in Mahesh Bhatt's office, director Anurag Basu asked Kangana to audition. Where Kangana auditioned for film gangster and was selected. For this role, first actress Chitranga Singh was offered. But she refused to do this film. After which, Kangana debuted from film gangster in 2006. And Kangana was first released from the film, Kangana got the Best Female Debut Filmfare Award because of film gangster. And Kangana's second film also came in 2006. And worked in 7th film Shakala Ka Boom Boom and Life in a Metro. After which, Kangana debuted in 2008 with film Dham Dhoom. And worked in Hindi film Fashion in this year.
